At 9:10 on December 4, the 50th ultra-high voltage substation in Zhejiang was put into operation in Hangzhou. So far, the number of 500 kV substations and substation capacity in Zhejiang have reached a record high, second only to Jiangsu Power Grid, and ranked second in domestic provincial power grids.

According to relevant people of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power, the substation is named 500 kV Xiaowei Change, which is an important part of the Zhejiang provincial demonstration project of "Dajiangdong Electric Power One Map", which is of great significance to optimize the power grid structure of the Hangzhou Greater Bay Area, promote the economic development of the Hangzhou Bay metropolitan economic circle, and ensure the power supply of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

"As a new station put into operation under the background of the construction of 'ubiquitous power Internet of Things', the 500 kV Xiaowei transformation is different from traditional substations, and it will become an important embodiment of the State Grid Corporation's development strategy of building a 'strong smart grid and ubiquitous power Internet of Things'." Zhang Jianhuan, the main person in charge of the 500 kV Xiaowei Transformation and Operation, introduced that the 500 kV Xiaowei Transformation will be the first in Zhejiang to launch the main and auxiliary equipment monitoring system, realizing one-key smooth control, indoor and outdoor robot intelligent inspection, real-time control of on-site operations and other functions, so as to achieve the purpose of comprehensive state perception, information interconnection and sharing, human-computer interaction friendly, highly intelligent equipment diagnosis, and greatly improved operation and inspection efficiency.

For example, the new functions such as "one-key sequential control" status return background and SF6 online monitoring will play an important role in reverse operation, efficient operation inspection and reducing the cost of equipment life.

In addition, for local economic development, Xiaowei 500 kV power transmission and transformation project is the first real main power supply in Hangzhou Bay industrial cluster, and the 500 kV Xiaowei transformation after operation, as an important hub substation of the project, will become the main power supply point of Hangzhou Dajiangdong Industrial Cluster, Xiaoshan East Area and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport Area, alleviating the power load tension in Xiaoshan East and Dajiangdong Region.
